all right peeps, roll call

what's going on?

our company just started three different fitness programs to run july 1 - october 1. all self reporting, all voluntary. i'm going to do two of them for kicks: the biggest loser and healthy living. here's the thing: the prizes are going to be drawn randomly, everything is anonymous, and it's based on "participation, not results." i don't totally understand how that's supposed to motivate me but what the heck.

  1. I like that your company is trying something AND that you're participating. Maybe you can suggest that they have prizes for the person who does the most or loses the most and a random prize just for participating?

    Anyway, I'm here and doing better than I thought. I've lost about 6 pounds and been maintaining that. I'd like to lose a few more and tighten things up but I'm happy with my progress and really want to just work on the "not eating like a pig" habit that I've been following.

  2. they did that last year: a big reward for the most progress but apparently that ruffled feathers and they changed it to this new "more pleasing to the masses and the management" approach
